How the new Batman movie could be a ‘big, fat lie’

Ben Affleck is in negotiations to play Batman in the next installment of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment’s animated series, but the character is already out of the question.

Sources familiar with the negotiations tell The Hollywood Reporter that Warner Bros.’

Ben Afflillons deal with Affleck’s reps and studio are nearing a deal, but that the actor won’t be cast.

Affleck will play the villainous Joker in Justice League Part One, but it is not clear how the story will go from there.

Afflleck is currently shooting Justice League: Dark Knight Rises.

Sources say Affleck has yet to finalize his deal with Warner Bros., but he is confident that a deal will be struck with Afflills reps and the studio.

Affleck has not been shy about his disdain for DC Comics over the years.

He was one of the first actors to boycott Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the movie that followed the events of Batman v.

Superman: The Dark Knight.

Affillleck, who has a history of controversial statements, tweeted that he is disappointed in the current state of the DCU and the lack of diversity in the superhero genre.
