The Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Kevin Chevalier and defenseman Erik Karlsson to the Dallas Stars in exchange for defenseman Dan Hamruis, the team announced.
Hammuis, 33, is in his first season as Anaheim’s general manager and the club’s fourth-round pick (No. 132) in the 2014 NHL Draft.
He was the team’s director of amateur scouting and assistant GM for player personnel in 2016-17.
Hamruys first stint with Anaheim was as an assistant general manager in 2016.
The deal is pending league and team approval.
Chevalier, 36, spent the previous five seasons with the Florida Panthers and Philadelphia Flyers.
He recorded 44 points (19G, 29A) in 78 games last season and was a finalist for the Hart Trophy in 2017.
Hamhues NHL career also includes five seasons in the NHL with Tampa Bay and Columbus, and seven years with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks.
The Ducks have one day remaining in the regular season.
