The latest movie from Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum about a man who gets arrested for a violent crime gets a major boost

The latest video game movie from the makers of Assassin’s Creed has received a major uptick in box office numbers thanks to a movie starring Brad Pitt, the first Hollywood movie to star the two actors in the same movie.

The latest installment in the critically-acclaimed franchise from Ubisoft received a strong opening in North America, with $27.6 million in Thursday previews for a domestic total of $86.7 million.

Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the film, is currently in the midst of reshoots and production on a sequel is currently underway, but it is likely that the movie will have a stronger opening than the original.

The film, which is directed by Dan Gilroy and is expected to open in early 2017, was first released in January.

Pitt and Tatum starred in the movie together in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, and have also collaborated on the 2013 film The Hurt Locker.

Pitt was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in the film and has been in talks to direct the next installment.

Pitt, who is married to Jennifer Aniston, also stars in the upcoming Paramount Pictures pic The Impossible which is slated for release in 2019.

The studio has been eyeing a sequel for years and has recently signed on the director for a follow-up to its hit film, The Fighter.

It is also looking to expand its roster of female filmmakers, which includes the upcoming The Sisters Brothers which is scheduled for release next year.

The Wolf of Wallace is directed and produced by Dan Gillan.

It stars Jason Statham, Dermot Mulroney, Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, James McAvoy, Olivia Munn, and Daniel Kaluuya.
